Bummed, annoyed, then excited, then annoyed again!

Okay, so, the Zune was not showing up on my order on Dell's website. All it said was changed & they took the money. So, I called today & the guy told me, after a long time, that it is discontinued. I was so upset (which is where the bummed feeling comes in). Like right after I switched from the 8GB Zune to the 80GB Zune, they fucking discontinue it. So, the guy actually asks me if I want to cancel the order? Now is that a stupid question or what? Of course I want to cancel the order, you don't have it!!!! So, he asks me if I want to be transferred to the electronics sales department, I say sure. When I get the guy on the guy on the phone, I really want to know why it is discontinued & what a comparable one would be. He was actually kind of rude & he didn't even know it had been discontinued, that is how recent it was. So, I asked about a comparable one & he said Archos, which I have never even heard of. So I asked if it was good & he said "It's an MP3 player." So, I said you know what, forget it, I'll just go on your website & look. So that is what I did. (This is where the annoyed feeling comes in.)

I do not have money for an MP3 player, that is why I have to go through Dell. We will not have money for one any time soon. Now that I have started this whole thing & got all excited about it, I want it damnit, LOL. I looked through all the ones they have. And finally settled on a Sony.



I will spare you the long drawn out details, let's just say this has consumed my thoughts tonight. And I have spent way too much time researching something that seems so simple. I want the best deal for my money. I want one that is going to do what I want because my current one SUCKS ASS!!! And this seems to be the best one for what I want. (This is where the excitement comes in!!!)

So, I go to place the order, with a set of headphones because I hate earbuds & I can't do it because I have yet to be reimbursed the money from my original purchase. So, there is the last annoyance of the night *sigh* . Looks like I will be making another phone call tomorrow. Somewhere bewtween walking to get Zach & then walking to get Briana, as Kid will have the van.

However, tomorrow looks to be an awesome day!!! My computer is due in the mail, I hope I don't miss it with all my walking :P . And Shari scored some FREE TICKETS for tomorrow nights game. I am so freakin' excited!!!! But Kid really pissed me off because I just wanted to know what time he thought he would be home. He got mad thinking that his shit is not important & the hockey game is. He needs to get his cast off tomorrow, maybe & go to the lawyer to possibly get some money for the car. I am very happy for him & yes it is important. But knowing him he will fucking stop everywhere. And I had actually hoped to maybe pick Cheyenne up from school & head towards the game to beat traffic. But he blew up at me. So, I will be picking her up at the bus stop & heading west in rush hour traffic. Oh well.

God, all I ever do is bitch, it seems like I am never happy, but that's not true. I am just an 'all or nothing' kind of girl.

Well, I guess this is long enough. At least tomorrow night or Thurs. at the latest I will have some new hockey pics to post, WOOHOO!!! GO CATS GO!!! BOO BUFFALO!!! :P

Excited!!!!

So, I have been stalking Dell for the last few days. And I saw today that my computer has shipped & is due here on Wednesday!!! I am beyond excited. I feel funny using this one because I don't want to bookmark any sites, I don't want to save any pics to this computer, I don't want to download any programs or hook up my printer, etc. Plus this computer is old & I get so many IE errors & the windows close out of nowhere. Also it will not let me delete any emails, I have over 200 & it won't let me delete any. And it only lets me post in Edit HTML mode. It can be very frustrating at times. I know, what right do I have to bitch when I could still be computerless :( .

Anyway, I am also annoyed at Dell & need to make a call tomorrow about the Zune. It is showing in my account that the order was changed & the money is showing up as taken but the new Zune is not showing up in my order status.

I have zero motivation for anything :( . I did not get anything cleaned, well, I did get a few dishes done but not enough. I did not walk, I did not work out. I did nothing. I even went back to sleep this morning on the couch. It was just so cold in here & I was so tired. And again here I sit. It is after 12, I need to get clothes out for Kid & Zach, I should wash a load of coffee cups. I should take a shower. I should make a list for the store tomorrow. But alas, here I sit. Why, why, why?? And there is really nothing to do online. I spent a big chunk of the afternoon looking at skins for Zunes. I don't even have the moeny to buy one. I don't even have the damn thing yet. Maybe I will turn the computer off tonight when I go to bed. It will deter me in the morning, maybe.

Another thing to be excited about..... A possible hockey game on Wed. & what's even better, it may be free!!!

A little background, Shari's husband plays street hockey on Sundays & he plays with Craig Minervini who is a sports broadcaster for the Florida Panthers. Well Shari's husband refuses to ask the guy for tickets even though the guy has been known to give tickets to the guys he plays with. Well, one time he emailed all the guys that plays hockey & asked anyone if they wanted tickes & of course Shari emailed him back & said absolutely. And she got 5 tickets. So, she decided to take matters into her own hands & emailed Minervini herself over the weekend & he responded today telling her he will check what he has. So, there is a good possibility he will come through with tickets. How awesome would that be!!!!!!

I totally forgot to post about practice last Monday, 1-22-08, I think. I didn't take a lot of pics because I always feel like a dork taking pics, LOL. But it was a good practice & there was even a fight between Campbell & Bouwmeester. That is always exciting. And of course we went outside for autographs again.

Grrrrrrrrr, see, in the middle of posting & putting a picture here, IE froze & wouldn't close for 10 minutes!!! If I had been posting this anywhere else but here, I would have lost all this. Anyway, I know, SHUT UP, the new one is on it's way!!! I am just so tired of computer issues when I didn't have them for so long, kwim. Okay, it's nearly 1, I need to get this done so I can be in bed & asleep earlier tonight.

This actually would have been a great day for pics because the majority of the guys were out of their cars. But again, I felt like a dork :P . Zednik was not out of his car & Zach did it to me again, handing me his calendar, making me ask for him to sign it. He says to me "He's your man!" & I say "But it's your calendar!" but of course Zach does not care about that, LOL.

We hung around for a long time, actually even past the time security left. Yea, they have security to keep people from going behind the building where the guys park. Well, a mom & her daughter went behind the building after security left so 'monkey see monkey do', the girls wanted to go too. And I let them but I didn't let Zach. After a minute, I decided to go back with Zach. And this is the only place in Broward, I am sure that you can see my kids playing in snow :P . How fun was that???







Okay, I think I am officially done. I could just keep gojng & going. I always have so much to say :P !!!

Totally wasted weekend.

I did not get a damn thing done this weekend. I stayed up late & slept late. I didn't even want to get dressed today. But Shari came over so I had to, LOL. We watched the kids play outside & then we went to Sweet Tomatoes for dinner.

Last night we went out for pizza.

I have lost 18 pounds......... 18 POUNDS!!!! Everyone says they can see a difference yet I cannot. Maybe because I still have so far to go and all I see is the fat? I am so afraid I'm going to gain it back :( . I am not eating any differently but I am not active at all. I have decided that tomorrow I am going to start walking in the morning. I'll drop the kids off at school, come home & eat breakfast & then go walk around the park or go walk on the beach, maybe alternate. I still have my crappy MP3 player so I'll take that, just until I get my Zune ;) . And soon I will start that Dancing With The Stars DVD. I want to keep losing the weight, I am too excited about it still to just let it all go.

Anyway, I had ordered the 8GB Zune because I liked the one that was red, LOL. But after I started thinking about it, the 80GB was only $50 difference. So I called & changed it. I know I will fill it up fast, LOL. So, why a Zune over an Ipod?? Because Dell only had the Zune. I have wanted an Ipod for a very long time but there is no way we will have the money for one for me so I said screw it & used this credit.

But Kid is barely working, we certainly don't need the added expense right now. I am still kicking myself in the ass but what is done is done. And ultimately, I am excited.

Well, I decided that I wanted to get to bed early tonight so I am not dragging ass tired tomorrow. Maybe I'll get those damn dishes done. Off to take a shower & go to bed!!

Friday night, what's going on?

Nothing going on here. My computer has crashed. So I am on a borrowed computer. While I am so incredibly thankful to my friend for her sacrifice, though it wasn't a big sacrifice as she 1. does not have internet access & 2. is completely computer illiterate, it is a such a pain in the ass. It will not let me delete emails. It will not let me post a regular blog here or on myspace. It is slow and it closes windows when I am in the midlle of something. But the biggest bummer, my webcam does not work :( .

However, on the upside, I applied for a credit line with Dell last night and ordered a new tower. I totally regretted it after I did it. Because I do nothing on a small scale, nothing at all. It's like I don't want to believe that we cannot afford something or I want to live higher than our means. So, I quite regularly throw caution to the wind and do something totally on impulse. And ordering that tower was a total impulse buy. And I kept hoping they would deny me the credit. So, here are the ins and outs of my new computer then I will tell you how much it cost.

The reviews on this system were great. And I figured while I had the credit, screw it, I'll get an awesome computer. So the total is $1,540.18. I can't fucking believe I am spending just over $1500 for a tower, just a tower!!!!! And because I had the credit, I said screw it & threw in a Microsoft Zune :P . So, I am excited, so excited!!!! And the best part of all, Kid is not mad & he agrees with me about spending the money on a really good computer.My other Dell lasted a long time & I think it would have lasted longer had I just left it alone & had someone else take a look at it. But oh well, I still have it, maybe I'll eventually replace the mother board & give it to the kids.

I actually had alot more I wanted to say but now I am drawing a blank. Maybe I'll be back later or maybe not, we shall see!!

Sunday night hockey!!

We had the choice to either go to Saturday nights game, the Florida Panthers against the Tampa Bay Lighting or we could go to Sundays game against the Colorado Avalanche. The girls wanted to go to Sat. nights game, mainly because it was a Sat. night game. We have seen the Panthers play Tampa before. Colorado has not played in Florida in 4 years. It was an opportunity to see a team who rarely plays here. After much coaxing & talking with the husband, the girls were talked into Sunday nights game.


We watched the game on Sat. night & the Panthers got their asses kicked all over the ice by Tampa. It would have been very depressing to watch at the BAC (Bank Atlantic Center). We would have left there feeling so let down. I just hoped that the loss to the worst team in our division would spark a fire under them for Sundays game. Cheyenne really takes these games to heart, she gets really upset when they lose, LOL.


We like to get to the BAC early, for warm ups. So we left here a little before 3pm. Doors open at 4pm & the game started at 5pm. We got a good spot on the ice, right in the corner where they come out at.


I did not notice before but this pyramid of pucks is only put up so the goalie can knock it out on the ice on his way out for warm ups. I had to ask Cheyenne, she notices everything. That girl is a fountain of hockey knowledge :P !!





Briana was too cute. She got down in the corner & put her arm through the gap in the glass. And she was able to touch the jersey of every player that went out. And she said their names as they went by.

Cheyenne was was calling her a perv, LOL. I think someone was a little jealous. But of course that is not something she would do because it is so uncool :P . I just love everything about the game of hockey. I love the commraderie of the fans, the sounds of the cheering "Go Cats Go" & "Let's Go Panthers Lets Go" !!! The sounds of the puck hitting the wall, the glass, the other players sticks; the sounds of the checks against the boards. The sounds of the skates on the ice & the way the ice sprays up when they stop fast. The aggression, the intensity. We have developed a love for the game so much that we watch every game on TV that we can. And when the Panthers game is not televised, we listen to it on the radio. Ahhh, if only we could afford Center Ice :P !! Anyway, back to some pics.

Okay, so as it turns out, we were so happy we went to this game. As I had hoped, they played hard the whole game, they kept the score tied right to the end of regulation, ending at 3 to 3. This turned out to be one of the best games we have seen because it went into overtime. We were on the edge of our seats right up until the end.

I only got one picture of the shootout because I was too busy watching it. With my fingers crossed & my butt barely in the seat :P . Nathan Horton #16 was first in the shootout, he missed. Then the Avalanche player had his turn & Vokoun stopped him. This is Stephen Weiss #9. He was also stopped. Then the Avalanche player went & he was stopped. Then Olli Jokinen, the captain #12 was up & he was stopped. The final Avalanche player got one by Vokoun for the win.




However, I have to say, walking out of this game was not a disappointment. The Panthers played hard & made us proud!!!! Even though they lost.
